This was a position ofhigh responsibility that required the ability to gauge students’ abilities, mental states, andphysical states, and then adjust a given class’s instruction on the fly. A karate instructor mustalso have encyclopedic knowledge of the curriculum of every karate belt forward and backwards.This job required strong on-the-spot problem solving and communication skills to ensurestudents were able to learn the day’s material effectively.
