Metcash is the leading leading independent retail and wholesaler partner in Australia and New Zealand’s food, liquor and hardware businesses. With major brands such as IGA, Bottle-O, Mitre 10, Home Timber & Hardware and others. With a revenue of $13 billion and supporting a national network of more than 10,000 independent retailers and a further 90,000 wholesalers, we’re the driving force behind local, family-owned businesses. My role as Head of Business Partnerships is to manage an exisiting portfolio of $1.6 billion in partnerships and field sales. In addition to managing a team of over 50 employees our charter was to engage and secure new contracts with major partners, state based key accounts as well as managing the field sales team. All these teams were supported by a centralised national call centre based in Brisbane. During my tenure, we secured long term contracts with BP, Puma/Chevron, Night Owl, Department of Justice and others. Growing revenue 3.9% annually through challenging trading conditions and managing stakeholders and the team during COVID-19. One of my proudest achievement was to turn around a major retail account from an unprofitable and difficult relationship, to being nominated as the supplier of the year award over an 18 month period.

General Manager

Green energy has always been a passion of mine, having five children I care about the future of the environment. I was approached by the son of a world renowned UTS professor to join his new start up as National Sales Manager and eventually more into the General Manager role once the company grew. Green Solar Group was an Environmental Solutions Organisation that was focussed on energy efficiency, lighting and renewable energy solutions for the public sector and residential homes, utilising carbon credits and Government subsidies. A change of Government caused a back flip on this policy and rapidly altered the value proposition which was altered the commercial viability of the business. After a frank discussion with the board and stakeholders it was agreed that it was more fiscally responsible to wind up the operational side of the business and transition to consulting, rather than reduce stakeholder equity. This inspiring company was an alternative to my previous corporate roles and a great change of lifestyle. I was especially proud of the audits of schools and organisations where we would reduce their costs and carbon footprint. It's a win, win, win.I joined as the National Sales Manager and grew the business in 18 months from $2 million to $18 million. Tremendous growth in a short period of time. Green energy remains a passion which I have explored in my home and look forward to an opportunity to use my business skills in this space when the opportunity arises.

National Account And Operations Manager

Auburn, New South Wales, Au

BevChain started out as a joint venture between Lion Nathan and Linfox to deliver transport and logistical for spirit and wine clients supported by the huge volume of the Lion Nathan beer group. My first role with BevChain was an operational one as they were a new business venture and needed to centralise operations in NSW and align processes prior to construction of a national distribution centre. From there I was promoted to the National Accounts manager as they had significant issues with one of their major accounts who were dealing with the ramifications of Government legislation changes. I was then put in charge of another major account after successfully managing this crisis.

Nsw Fulfilment Manager

Uxbridge, West London, Gb

Coca-Cola Amatil Limited is one of the largest bottlers of non-alcoholic ready-to-drink beverages in the Asia-Pacific region and one of the world's five major Coca-Cola bottlers.Having such a major international brand and well run organisation for my first role provided me with excellent grounding and experience in business management. From starting out as the Night Shift Team Leader to managing the distribution centre at Smithfield, I learnt how to manage people, clients and finances to get the job done. Moving onto the Fulfilment Manager in NSW responsible for the management of 7 districts operations, 58 front line contractors servicing 11,000 outlets was quite a challenge, but very rewarding. We focused on process improvement and building overall team engagement which led to our success with the well established sales teams. Moving into the vending business gave me responsibility for over $30m in revenue, 3 districts and 30 contracted front-line staff. Being accountable for all aspects of contract management and driving growth through structured contract management was great learning for the upcoming management of larger businesses.
