  - Led project rebuilding our primary and secondary data center network cores and dmzs: Plan migration, configure, test, and deploy Cisco 9ks and Cisco ASA firewalls (Firepower chassis). - with team, rebuilt underlay VPLS backbone (Arista 7280 / Cisco 55A1) accross all data centers. - Executed initial integration of a recently acquired company's network into our own. Facilitated connectivity into four data centers with failover testing. - Integrated two new data centers into our Internet VPLS backbone with failover testing. Tuning BGP internally and interfacing ISPs. - Many small projects building F5 Vips, building VPN tunnels, migrating services (routing / firewall support), ACE to F5 migration, ACS to ISE migration, riter and firewall refreshes and complex device upgrades. Cisco IOS XR and XE, Arista, Fortigate, Cisco ASA, F5. - Data Center and transport operations within a complex global network: many data centers and multiple production networks, a sprawling cloud (AWS, Azure, etc.), VPLS underlay networks. BGP in many varieties and OSPF. Automation:- Wrote python scripts to scrape ASA and Fortigate backup configurations and figure out firewall access for devices in scope for twice-year PCI audits and output related firewall rules. This reduced a multiple weeks process to a few minutes. - Developed a python/ansible certificate management platform for a web-app tier with hundreds of certs. Dynamically monitored cert expiration dates, reported and renewed certs, and an Ansible playbook updated the certs. A detailed validation script ensured no mistakes. - Python/Ansible combo that discovered unused ASA firewall rules and deleted, eliminating hundres of thousands of dead rules. - Several Python/Ansible combos standardizing router configs and keeping Nagios up to date via API. - starts into router upgrade automation and many tools for demystifying network configuration, routing and firewall paths etc.
