Adam Blitz has over 30 years of experience in the EMS industry, including 11 in EMS leadership. During this time, he has had the opportunity to work in the many different settings that EMS can provide - including urban, suburban, and rural responses – both 911 and private.In 1993, Mr. Blitz joined the labor team to help negotiate the Union Collective Bargaining Agreement. This experience has proven valuable for understanding CBAs and working within a union environment.In 1995, Mr. Blitz became a paramedic preceptor and subsequently mentored several quality interns, all of which have enjoyed successful careers of their own. In 2003, he became a Field Training Officer, indoctrinating new EMTs and paramedics.In 2005, Mr. Blitz first entered management as a Clinical Specialist, responsible for training, investigating and remediating AMR clinicians, as well as overseeing many committees - including the CISM Team and Peer Committee. By the end that year, he chose to re-enter the workforce, amicably opting to return to direct patient care.In 2007, Mr. Blitz assumed the role of Field Training Coordinator to assist the Clinical Specialist. In 2009, Mr. Blitz became a paramedic supervisor in Yolo County. Duties there included, but were not limited to, scheduling EMTs, paramedics, and Field Supervisors; maintaining supplies and inventory; tracking of employee credentials; Safety Coordinator; and point of contact for hospitals, local Fire, Police, patients and customers.In late 2010, Mr. Blitz promoted to Clinical Manager, returning to the CES Department to oversee clinical care in the Sacramento Valley and Shasta County. In 2016, Mr. Blitz assisted with the start of the AMR partnership with DCFEMS in our nation’s capital. In 2017, he was able to transfer to Washington, DC full-time to build up the training and QA departments.In January 2019, Mr. Blitz returned to Northern California, this time for Falck Ambulance - Overseeing QA, Risk & Safety, and Training. By June 2020, he was overseeing Operations, as well.In January 2023, Mr. Blitz returned to EMS, proudly beginning the role of CQI manager and DICO for the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District.
