Examples: Gas Lift Compressor installs, field-wide drawing as-building, pipeline inline inspections/verification digs, pipeline repairs, field-wide overpressure protection correction, flare installs, H2S sweetening, electrification and small MOC projects.• Identified, scoped, estimated, presented/pitched and executed Opex reduction projects including performing detailed economic evaluation in Excel and Value Navigator.• Worked with field operations daily to optimize field and identify and resolve operational issues.• Managed Murphy’s MOC program and successfully passed multiple ABSA audits.

- Responsible for the South Swan Hills Field (3,000 boe/d). Conventional oil, water flooded, deep (2500m), high temperature (>100C).- Worked with Facilities, Exploitation, Reservoir Engineers and Field staff to identify reactivation candidates, water flood pattern changes, evaluate whether or not to repair pipelines following failures.- Worked with Integrity department, Operations staff to evaluate and mitigate the risk of operating various high temperature pipelines.- Scoped and evaluated various pipeline and facilities projects (up to $5 million).- Continued other responsibilities from below Production Engineering position.

- Responsible for the Fort St John North and South Areas (4,500 boe/d). 26 fields – conventional oil, sour gas, condensate.- Prepared detailed long-term economic evaluations of projects and fields and made presentations and recommendations for management.- Identified, evaluated and scoped larger projects like re-completions, tie-ins, stimulations, compressor installs (up to $1.7 million)- Worked closely with Field, Facilities Engineers, Geologists and Exploitation Engineers to optimize fields and identify and bring on new production- Prepared detailed field operating cost analyses to determine fixed and variable costs, royalties, fees, third party interests for various projects.- Continued other responsibilities from below Area Engineer position

- Responsible for the Clearwater and Wedge Areas (3,000 boe/d). Unconventional gas, horizontal and multilateral wells.- Primary contact for field personnel to help troubleshoot daily operational issues.- Worked closely with the area production foreman to ensure production volumes were maintained, and projects were executed in a cost and time effective way- Prepared AFE's, cost estimates, economic justifications, production forecasts- Researched, planned and programmed completions, workovers, compression projects- Coordinated with field operations and the Calgary team to bringing on new Manville coal bed methane production- Independently researched feasibility of an enhanced coal bed methane scheme and proposed to senior management.

- Responsible for the Wedge Area (1,600 boe/d). Unconventional gas, horizontal and multilateral wells.- Converted 1/3 of field from ESP’s to rod pumps to reduce operating costs- Continued to act as Completions Engineer

- Planned and ordered services and equipment for the completion and servicing of horizontal/multilateral coal bed methane wells and associated artificial lift – up to 5 rigs- Prepared completion and workover programs, including detailed cost estimates and recommended procedures in collaboration with the field and Area Engineer- Maintained rig schedule and monitored production shortfalls- Supervised pull/install/startup of ESP’s PCP’s, ESPCP’s, plunger lift’s, rod pump and associated equipment- Monitored daily rig activity to make program changes as required- Investigated and used new methods of well cleanouts (combination of conventional and hydrostatic bailers for multilateral and horizontal wells)

- Tracked production shortfalls and identified trends in well operation- Troubleshoot artificial lift (ESP, Rod Pump, Plunger Lift, Soap), meters, chemical pumps, transformers, VFD’s.- Identified and implemented production optimization opportunities- Communicated field knowledge and issues to Calgary- Started up ESP’s and programmed VFD’s and pump off controllers

- Prepared breaker and power transformer specification documents- Drafted designs and as-built drawings for various projects- Assisted with design of AltaLink line protection upgrade projects- Prepared construction and client review design packages- Assisted with commissioning of a digital fault recorder in the field
