I am a 23-year Air Force veteran who found a unique opportunity for personal and professional growth during the pandemic. Prior to the global health crisis, I had received a special assignment to relocate to Mississippi, where I was entrusted with the task of revolutionizing the training programs for metrology within the Air Force. Little did I know that the pandemic would alter the course of my work and career in significant ways.Around a year into my tenure in Mississippi, the pandemic took the world by storm, prompting a rapid shift towards digital training environments. I was handed the responsibility of reshaping our educational approach from traditional in-person classrooms to a more student-centered digital model. This challenge was twofold, as it not only necessitated a mandatory degree program completion but also ignited a newfound determination within me to acquire a second associate degree and embark on a journey towards a Bachelor's in Science.As the pandemic evolved, so did my achievements. I managed to successfully complete both associate degrees while simultaneously reimagining the curriculum for two entire courses. Moreover, I lent my expertise to the overhaul of two additional courses. This transformative experience leveraged my skills developed over the first 17 years of my career while simultaneously expanding my capabilities in leadership, training development, and project management.
