My role as Head of Aquatic Operation is to oversee the daily operations of Laguna Waterpark. I am required to direct, delegate and advise the operational and revenue departments. I was part of the development team for Laguna waterpark, working closely with the master planner and delivery team for opening this waterpark. I was Head of pre-opening for Laguna Waterpark, responsible for recruitment, training, testing and commissioning of all attractions, managing the delivery team to ensure the park opened as scheduled. I am responsible for managing the following departments; Admissions and Retail, Maintenance, F&B, Security and paramedics, and the operations department, totaling 150 colleagues from pre-opening onwards.

I was working closely with the Abu Dhabi Municipality and the Urban Planning Council in setting up the first resort style public beach with the aim of increasing day visitor numbers and bringing in new activities such as sporting and cultural events. •Manage, control and co-ordinate the operational management of the property - 2km beachfront property with retail and food and beverage components.•Develop, implement, review and regularly update policies and procedures covering all aspects of the operation and services.•Prepare, review and update an operational structure and resource plan required for the maintenance of the property including job descriptions.•Manage all beach concession hire facilities. (Sun Bed Rentals, Water Sports, Sport Facilities and Beach Massage.)•Undertake to ensure all service levels are being met at all times by implementing audit systems measurable against Key Performance Indicators.•Responsible for the operation and management of all retailers and F&B units within the property ensuring health and safety standards are adhered to all times as per legislation.•Provide event co-ordination assistance for all major international and regional artist events within the property.•Co-ordination regarding permits and permissions for all events.•Co-ordination with Event Managers regarding set-up and site requirements.•Monitor and manage all service providers from MEP, Security, Landscaping, Cleaning and Waste Management, Lifeguarding and Pest Control.•Working with the Operations team to implement a comprehensive PPM program, addressing outstanding items to relevant role players.•Implement a strong Customer Service Training program with auditable measurement tools to ensure a high level of performance.•Identify and implement community based CSR projects and heading up the committee for the establishment of the first certified Blue Flag Beach in the Middle East and Asia.
