Manufacture a variety of control panels using electrical and mechanical drawings to guarantee required specifications and quality.Undertook the responsibility of being a member of the ‘Six S' team where duties include delegating tasks to ensure the panel shop is adhering to Heath and Safety Laws by being a safe and tidy working environment. Selected to be included in trial builds of new control panels. Responsible for studying technical drawings, identifying any issues or noting ideas that would help improve the build process. All findings or ideas were then reported back to the technical team during weekly meetings.Involved in quality assurance meetings for the panel shop to discuss any faults found during inspection or testing. Ideas were brainstormed to help prevent reoccurring faults.

Managed a team of staff, including paid staff, contractors and volunteers, to deliver safe, timely and consistent transport services to and from the Barry Buddon Shooting venue during the Commonwealth Games. Ensured temporary traffic management and parking controls were appropriately planned and implemented in the areas surrounding the venues. Communicated with Angus City Council to identify land requirements and operational plans managing access and security for the venues.

Manufacture switchboards, panels and frames to the required specifications and quality as detailed in the technical schematic drawings. Was one of 4 employees selected to work in South Korea for seven weeks, training local workers in installation techniques of the AC control systems on a Noble Drilling Ship used for ship stabilisation during drilling. Worked closely with the design department on innovation and improvement projects optimising panel design for ergonomics and quick turnover maintenance for the customer. Was responsible for managing the night shift teams during busy periods. Ensured the correct skill set was available, timescales were being adhered to and reported back to line manager with progress and concerns. Volunteered for the role of Deputy Health and Safety representative where responsibilities included ensuring any accidents or near misses were actioned within the correct timescales and communicating feedback to individuals and teams of the required safety behaviour within the workplace.

Gained a HNC in Electrical Engineering when I attended Langside College on a block release system. Was privileged to achieve national Employer of the Month while in my second year of my apprenticeship after detecting a fault in a batch of cable saving the company both manufacturing time and money.
