What my job involves as a systems engineer is being part of the design, construction, testing of high precision laser cutters also with the privilege of using my skillset to aid in other departments outside of my job title, what my job involves is: • Servicing and/or installing high precision laser cutters in many global locations with added ABB robot automation setup and programming.• Understanding the specification and requirements of the laser cutting systems.• Designing and integrating mechanical, electrical and software components for optimal performance.• Ensuring that the systems meet the safety standards and regulations.• Electrical and Pneumatic Panel builds with the added role of redesigning/improving old drawings due to my previous CAD experience.• Motor instalment and tuning (Linear, servo, stepper and DC Motors) with PID controller tuning and PLC programming.• Working with customers when installing and servicing machines, also advising customers on usage, safety and how to properly operate said machines.• Fault finding and tracking faults or common issues in noncompliance datasheets also doing factory acceptance tests ensuring that there is no issues or faults before shipping to a customer.• Utilising online software to remotely access customer and employee machines to fix any issues.• Working alongside and aiding colleagues in the construction of high precision laser cutters• Using internally developed CAD/CAM software and known software such as – Solid Works, Solid Works Electrical, DraftSight and Microsoft Office.• Repair and assembling components along with setup of PCs.• Using software and the laser cutters to Design, format and produce parts/stencils.• Soldering and wiring of electrical components• Certified training course in SolidWorks Electrical as of 22nd of December 2023

This Job Involved working on several projects in the oil and gas industry across the world but is mostly involved in projects based in the UK, I was responsible for the specification, design, development, installation, testing and administration of control systems to ensure that they operate efficiently, safely and in compliance with regulations under a mentorship program to learn and move forward on from being a junior.
