I have ensured that our safeguarding policies are thoroughly embedded across all functions of the organization. Our mission is to ensure the well-being and safety of everyone, with a particular focus on the most vulnerable individuals travelling or working on the Southeastern network. On a day-to-day basis, I investigate safeguarding reports and refer concerns to relevant partner agencies within the community. I emphasize a collaborative approach with these agencies to address safeguarding issues effectively.Key achievements:- Developed and delivered comprehensive training programs for colleagues, improving their ability to identify and respond to safeguarding issues.- Established and strengthened partnerships with community organizations to enhance support networks.- Successfully implemented new safeguarding strategies, resulting in a more secure environment for vulnerable individuals.My role has required strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills, and I am committed to continuing to improve safeguarding practices in future roles. My role requires me to lead a team of 8 instructors as well as coach a variety of recreational sports and provide vocational qualifications to offenders to gain employment when resettled back into the community. I also have the responsability of providing staff activities, maintaining fitness levels and to provide information and advice on healthy lifestyles. I have recently specialized and have developed my skills in sports injuries and remedial personal training programmes. I am now a full member of the Sports Massage Association after completing a Level 5 remedial sports massage diploma through NLSSM and as personal trainer to supplement my holistic approach to health, fitness and well being .
