The Massachusetts Green High Performance Computing Center (MGHPCC) is a research computing and data center; a collaboration among five research-intensive Massachusetts universities - MIT, Harvard, Northeastern, BU, and UMass. TechSquare manages system administration duties for clients from several locations related to these schools.Internship projects included: - Script writing in Bash and Python - Helping on-site staff install and cable servers - Performing troubleshooting of server hardware issues - Introductory Linux tasks: creating cron jobs, VeraCrypt usage for storing SSH keys, using CLI to interact with GitHub/GitLab repos - Additional exposure to: Google Workspaces, SaltStack, and the basics of the HPC cluster environment

In conjunction with Bay Path College of Longmeadow and Paragus Stategic IT of Hadley, STCC Information Security students were provided the opportunity to participate in a Cybersecurity Grant Internship established by the state of Massachusetts, to engage in projects that will provide security audits for local small-to-mid-sized companies.Responsibilities:- Participated in on-site visits of local businesses to review the current state of the location's security posture in regard to network infrastructure and internal policies- Generated network and security reports based on client data retrieved from their network using internal tools- Reviewed all generated reports and distilled information into a concise assessment for each client- Conducted simulated phishing campaigns tailored to each business using industry software

STCC's Supplemental Instructor (SI) program brings a peer Leader to the classroom; a current student that has passed the course they are participating in, whose aim is to assist peers in better understanding course material.
