The role requires me to help execute the overarching brand strategy across Sky Betting & Gaming's social media channels, and plan over-arching communications across all social channels. I also manage day-to-day processes, work closely with the social operations team as well as influencing relevant stakeholders to produce exciting and interesting brand content.

Working within a team, helping to run and organise the collection process for a number of top football leagues around the world, ranging from France's Ligue 1 to China's Super League.My role was to work closely with UEFA to provide statistics from over 50 leagues around Europe, helping them to form press kits ahead of European match days. I also helped train our existing and new analysts to ensure our data collection was as productive as possible, and helped to run the database, which ranged from entering fixtures to keeping on top of transfer activity, to making sure tables were correctly ordered.

Helped run the media department during a successful time for the club, including for the 2014 Challenge Cup Final at Wembley, which I reported on by myself. Generated interesting content on the clubs website, in the programme, on social media and more, which led to us coming sixth in the SSMI2015 social media awards, which ranks all professional football, rugby league, rugby union and cricket clubs. This was my best achievement in my career, but showed I have an understanding for how to successfully run social media platforms by posting interesting and unique pieces.Also organised press conferences, interviews between players and national/local media, aided the development of a new website and app for the club and much more.

Analysed football using our designated system, for a number of clients including large media organisations and professional football clubs.

I was a media officer initially at the Festival of World Cups during the summer, but this stretched to cover the Rugby League World Cup in the autumn. I was based at the England training camp at Loughborough University once a week, interviewing the England players ahead of the games at the weekend, which would be published on the World Cup website, and quotes distributed to regional newspapers/media outlets such a the Wigan Observer.It helped hone my interviewing skills, ability to write quick but interesting stories and how to liaise with professional, international sportsmen.
