The Project Manager of automation technology for the project, managing the information technology, automation and information/data management requirements for the project team. The PIM is charged with maximizing the efficiency of the project team and achieving the project goals through the best application of automation technology tools and methods.• Under general supervision of the department manager, coordinates and manages automation activities on a project• Uses effective knowledge-sharing behaviors• Works with the client and project management to analyze and develop the work process, and identifies the desired electronic interaction between the client and Fluor • Coordinates the automation scope, services, budget and schedule• Coordinates design automation kickoff activities and provides overall cross-discipline automation coordination• Identifies and coordinates the automation project turnover and close-out activities

Responsible for the project automation for over 250 users. Facilitated all IT related requirements and requests on site and acted as a site coordinator for all IT activities for home office.• Installed site network, which included components such as an Avamar, Riverbend, Core Switch, Print/File Server, SFPs, Fiber, UPS, Battery Extender, Access Point, Guest Switch, Client Switch, etc.• Maintained a monthly Asset Management Report for all PCs, network printers, network equipment and other miscellaneous IT equipment.• Submitted/Approved service order requests for Network IDs, Lotus Notes IDs, Wiring, New Hardware, Print Queues, Asset Returns, ID Resends, Network ID Access• Coordinated with other vendors/clients such as IBM, Exel, AMEC, IORVL (Esso), PCS, Streamline, etc.

Serviced, built, repaired, maintained and deployed over 3,000 laptop and PC’s, including Installs and upgrades. Troubleshot and repaired Hardware issues.• Met all service objectives for areas of service in a diverse and complex environment including Windows XP with SP2, Office 2000/2003/2007, Outlook, AutoCAD, etc. Tasks varied and included account maintenance and creation in active directory environment, the maintenance of virus information and the response to virus detection alerts for Trend-Micro. These objectives were met due to having built strong relationships with business users.• Produced and maintained a diverse set of IT documentation.• Performed various network troubleshooting related to switches, hubs, network cards, CAT 5 cables, wireless connections, VPN connections and more.

Provided deskside support for over 10,000 seats for corporations such as Alberta Treasury Branch, Alberta Health and Wellness and Fluor Canada.• Met all Service Level Agreements and Service Level Objectives through all accounts• Managed a 2 Million Dollar budget without exceeding it• Managed a Canadian geographically dispersed team of 35 across 5 accounts in Canada.• Managed the participation of the deskside involvement in multiple technological upgrade projects meeting all deadlines as well as all objectives (eg. Vista OS Upgrade, Thin Client implementation, etc)
