Assisting with Digital maturity within the trust. Investigating and implementing new technologies that would allow children with a wide range of disabilities to have full access to IT facilities across the 5 sites. This was running alongside a complete hardware refresh with over 500 devices imaged and deployed out to the sites, I had a big focus and impact on how the trust was to adopt the new GDPR standards by implementing a reporting tool and providing training to all staff around GDPR and cyber security. The IT department had undertaken massive growth with out underpinning and key structure in place part of my role was to harmonise this across the trust comprising of members of the IT team and over 1000 users.

To manage and maintain network and computer systems over 4 sites ensuring 100% uptime. To investigate and develop new technologies that positively impact BAU processes. part of my role is to constantly manage storage capacity and grow with the needs of the business. Also to implement and improve on policies and procedures to ensure we can maximise the use of IT across the company. the role has a main focus on DR processes and with constant review and development, we can be sure that our DR proses are effective in the event of a major disaster. I spend quite a lot of time working and building relations with 3rd party suppliers to get the best value for money and to ensure we get the best service without causing any disruption

To manage and maintain an ever-growing need for IT excellence with a cross-site network and numerous servers the job is a challenging one. the biggest challenge of all is to get the school into the 21st century with the latest technology and get IT into the classrooms. the other part of my job is to teach years 1 to 6 ICT ensuring the correct curriculum is followed and a high standard is delivered.

Part of my role within the Professional Services team was to provide training to our team of system engineers on new systems and processes that myself and the team had been working on, One training session given was based around SQL server migration others were around my Capita Connect system. I also had a heavy interaction with our customers ensuring our systems and process were matching the needs of the schools, we received some glowing feedback from one school quoting how the team had matched and gone over their expectations and how we took the schools needs and requirements and made them a reality.

My role was to install radio communications devices for mine machinery and plan projects for both internal and external customers primarily in the coal mining industry. gaining a range of skills in VHF and UHF radio systems as well as fibre optics and leaky feeders

Fitting computer systems on board all sizes aircraft ensuring all components were installed correctly and tested. along with fitting external panels and testing hydraulic braking systems on small to medium aircraft.
