- Delivery of maintenance works, projects and services within the Road Maintenance Program- delivery of linemarking, storm water infrastructure, guard rail, fencing, litter collection, illegal dumping, kerb and channel, retaining walls, footpath, bus stops, street sweeping, bridges, after hours response and disaster response.- Temporary management as required of heavy maintenance crew, shoulder grading, gravel roads, shoulder widening, table drains, potholes and asphalting.- Preparation, tendering, awarding and management of contracts including acting as the Principal’s nominated representative. Main contract areas include traffic control, street sweeping, guard rail, litter collection and minor civil projects. - Managing and motivating staff within the bounds of Logan City Council Certified Agreement and Award. Overseeing 55 direct and indirect reports.- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders of the Branch to successfully deliver the capital works and maintenance programs.- Utilising TechOne, Smartsheet, Pinpoint, ArcMaps, Microsoft Project and Reflect for information and project management.- Delivering works to a variety of guidelines, standards and specifications including Australian Standards, Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices, Department of Transport and Main Roads Standards and Queensland Urban Drainage Manual, Austroads, IPWEA and the Logan Planning Scheme 2015- Delivery of the “Find and Grind” program which included concrete grinding of trip hazards on the footpath network - Developed and delivered “Park Safe” safety initiative to reduce the frequency of uncontrolled vehicle movements. The initiative received a runner up award in the Logan City Council’s Employee Excellence Awards.- Flooded Road Smart Warning System- Disaster management and overseeing the initial phases and work delivery for Queensland Reconstruction Authority.

- Managing the development and delivery of road construction and maintenance projects predominantly through direct delivery crews and contractors.- Routine maintenance works were completed and scheduled as per RMS QA Specification M3 Routine Services. Works predominately involved minor patching, pothole repairs, edge break, signage, incident response, vegetation management, stormwater infrastructure maintenance, rest stop servicing, table drain maintenance and safety barriers. Adam was responsible for all aspects of the development, planning and delivery of the maintenance program.- Heavy patching works were completed as per RMS QA Specification M250- Responsible for projects at various stages from development to delivery. - 8km road rehabilitation and widening on the Mitchell Highway between Nyngan and Nevertire.- Two safety project intersection realignments and upgrades on the Golden Highway- Road safety project on the Mitchell Highway to install a clear zone for 14km, installation of 30km audiotactile line marking, widen the road in various sections and install wire rope safety barriers.- Flood immunity project including side-track and bridge approach construction.- Preparation, tendering, award and management of contracts including acting as RMS representative - Preparation of estimates, job programs, project specific plans, WH&S plans, quality management plans, environmental management plans, and traffic management plans - Delivering works to a variety of guidelines, standards and specifications including Australian Standards, Traffic Control at Work Sites Manual, Austroads and Roads and Maritime Services Specifications.- Completion of construction works in the positions were completed predominantly to RMS specifications - Managing and motivating direct control resources within the bounds of RMS wages and salary awards.- Utilising Equip, Microsoft Project and Reflect for information and project management.

Responsible for management and delivery of civil projects on the motorway. Projects included resheeting of Cooks river tunnel, installation of an air quality monitoring station, pavement shot blasting and reconstruction/strengthening of a mega pit on the main carriageway. Responsible for subcontracting of 5 yearly structural inspections including bridges, tunnels and ventilation stack. This involved all stages of management including scoping, contracts, finance, delivery, review of documentation and rectification of defects. Produced a pavement report for the motorway from raw data of laser profilometer and SCRIM testing. As a result of the report and recommendations, shot basting was completed on the tunnel carriageway.

As part of the Leighton Contractors graduate program I worked 6 months on the Leighton Boral Amey Joint Venture. The Stewardship Maintenance Contract (SMC) delivers improvement and maintenance services for the Sydney South Zone road network.During my time on the JV I worked in the tactical corridor projects team in a project engineer role on various stages of projects. Projects included: a noise wall as part of the noise abatement program, slope stabilisation utilising gabion baskets and a coffer dam, drainage rehabilitation, pram ramp installations, footpath modifications and feasibility studies for 4 pedestrian bridges. I also had a key role in the handover and quality control process for improvement projects. I assisted and drove the set up of the processes for project handovers and closeout.

As part of the Leighton Contractors graduate program I worked for 6 months on the Eastern Distributor motorway. The contract is responsible for the maintenance and asset management of all elements of the motorway, including pavements, structures, mechanical ventilation, intelligent transport infrastructure and other associated elements.During my time on this project I worked within a team to rehabilitate the motorway pavement surface by performing asphalt resheet and heavy patching. I was responsible for the quality assurance and quality control for the asphalting. This role involved regular interaction with the client (Airport Motorway Limited) and the subcontractor (Downer) to deliver strong results for all parties involved. During my time on the project I significantly improved the position and efficiency of the QA/QC process; I also gained a technical knowledge of asphalt by utilising RMS standards, specifically R116 and R119. I was also involved with other adhoc tasks such as project management, small budget management, managing subcontractors, organising works and traffic management/planning.

As part of the Leighton Contractors graduate program I worked for 6 months on the Ichthys Project onshore LNG facilities. The contract involved providing operations and maintenance services (OPS-1) for the Temporary Site Facilities on the Ichthys Project. During my time on this project I was mainly involved with the asset management and maintenance of approximately 200 pieces of equipment. This involved the use of Pinnacle Asset Management Software to track the pieces of equipment, generate work orders, track maintenance and reporting on the equipment/work hours. I was also involved in many other ad hoc tasks such as monthly reporting, commercial, procurement, software setup and analysis.

Customer service position involving stocktaking, time management and communicating with customers to find solutions to their problems.

- Feasibility study on amalgamating the control centres for all the operating mines into one central offsite hub, as requested by the Newcrest Directors. My studies focused on the busiest control room in the mine to determine if and when it could be viably removed from site. A time in motion study of the room was conducted and recommendations were made. As a result of this project the control centres have now been amalgamated and are running efficiently.- Practical experience involving underground truck driving, secondary break, explosives, drilling, ventilation monitoring and surveying. Adhoc office duties such as quotations, stock purchase, machinery purchase, mine plans, data entry, product development, compliance tracking, planning and scheduling.

- Co-managing a tender process for a large underground project involving the prefabrication of concrete panels to be rock bolted onto the floors of extraction drives for underground roadways. The project involved dealing with numerous suppliers to find the best supplier and transportation options for the company.- Adhoc office duties such as quotations, stock purchase, machinery purchase, mine plans, data entry, product development, compliance tracking, planning and scheduling.

Reporting to the Mine Manager, I completed an efficiency study of underground secondary break equipment. My research identified trends in crews, methods and equipment, following which, many of my recommendations to improve safety and productivity were successfully implemented.
