As the Tech Lead for English Language iTutoring, a division of Cambridge University Press & Assessment, I have:- Spearheaded the transformation of a prototype into a thriving production product serving 40,000 daily active users. Simultaneously onboarding a newly hired team of developers, with no prior product or domain expertise, and managing stakeholder expectations I guided the team to successful delivery through hands on engineering involvement and effective management.- Removed the walls between siloed engineering teams, unifying the organisation around a common set of principles and best practices. By providing clear direction I have realigned the work of multiple disaffected teams towards a shared mission, fostering an environment of openness and accountability.- Led the hiring and training of developers in the Philippines and established new working practices to ensure their successful integration and collaboration with existing UK based teams.
