Whave Solutions operates in 4 regions of Uganda, in 17 districts, serving over 1000 communities with 24/7 water delivery assurance, helping to build the economy and empower women and girls. We have 150 staff and contractors. We work with major international aid agencies and development banks, national and local government, and NGOs, NGO fora, CSO networks, parliamentary fora, on implementing Uganda's new national water 24/7 maintenance framework, to achieve SDG 6.1 together with climate change resilience for the most vulnerable rural populations, and to provide a vital model for other countries. Our work is centered on rigorous water supply performance metrics and digitized water asset mapping, to ensure that water governance and regulation is effective. All our practical field work on costs, revenues and performance outcomes are transparent and shared with government and stakeholders. This provides a basis for measured steps to achieving SDG 6.1 and a basis for climate change adaptation benefits.
