- Full ownership of the product's data pipeline, encompassing its creation, maintenance, and optimization of various ETL processes.- Established a batch processing pipeline capable of handling daily data volumes in the order of tens of terabytes. This involved the ingestion and processing of S3 parquet/Avro files, ensuring proper partitioning, minimizing shuffling, and optimizing I/O efficiency- Wrote code in Scala and utilizing the Spark framework, where I had substantial expertise. Additionally, I worked with DruidDB and various relational databases to address different use cases.- I routinely conducted cluster and process optimization as per the evolving requirements and in response to insights gained from monitoring tools.- After a year and a half, I had the opportunity to step into the role of team lead, responsible for tasks prioritization, collaborating with the product team on the roadmap, and shaping future features
