Aldhurst Farm Habitat Creation SchemeThe EDF funded project involved developing arable farmland into a new wetland and acidic grassland habitat, as a habit recreation project prior to the development of Sizewell C . My role as materials engineer involved keeping detailed records on the earthworks movements, checking as-built quality and collecting soil samples for chemical analysis. I set up the sites GPS base station which connected with all the earthworks machinery and Trimble GPS rover. I also mentored a junior engineer on using surveying equipment.

My engineering duties involved surveying and setting out with Trimble GPS survey equipment and corresponding with a variety of sub-contractors.
