Current* Plans and conducts examinations of Fortune 500 companies using advanced accounting and investigative audit techniques to resolve tax issues for individuals and businesses, including those with extensive national and international operations. * Evaluates priority issues during the classification process and adjusts the examination scope as needed, possibly serving on a team responsible for identifying these priority issues.* Collaborates with the Senior Revenue Agent to address significant tax compliance issues.* Independently examines complex income tax returns from individuals, businesses, and entities, involving intricate accounting systems and national operations.* Investigates complex cases involving concealed income, such as offshore activities or multiple related entities, using various financial and investigative skills.* Performs package audits to ensure the filing of required returns and conducts concurrent examinations as needed, referring cases to specialists when necessary.* Examines large and complex exempt organizations like private foundations and cooperatives, determining the best investigative approach and preparing audit plans as a team leader.* Reviews and interprets tax law and case materials to ensure accurate computations and prepares statutory Notices of Deficiency for complex, unresolved cases, detailing tax adjustments and their basis.
