Scientist - for the Interaction Regions Downstream (IRD) at the SPB/SFX instrument. In this position I have been responsible for the overall design and development of IRD (working with project stakeholders). Integration, commissioning and operation of instrumentation and associated safety subsystems to facilitate state of the art time resolved experiments in a user-friendly manner. The IRD are now regularly used for life science material science experiments (serial crystallography and scattering) with both academic and industrial user groups.

As leading scientist for BioSAXS at EMBL Grenoble I implemented a dedicated user-friendly, easy and rapid access end-station for solution scattering experiments at the ESRF. A major accomplishment in this position was increasing the ease of access and reliability of measurements using robotic sample handling (continuation from my Postdoc). Second was the extension of the facility database (ISPyB) for tracking of BioSAXS samples and projects. Third was establishment of industrial access, I defined the scope of work and pricing for data collection and analysis services.
