I am working in the group of Dr. Luis Banares at Centro de Laseres Ultrarrapidos (CLUR) at Universidad Complutense de Madrid, where I am studying molecular dynamics upon photoexcitation by femtosecond laser pulses generated by a tabletop laser source. During my time, I intend to gather skills and scientific knowledge as well as use state of the art facilities at the European XFEL, by carrying out experiments and studying the different dynamics and processes that takes place following photoexcitation.

I was employed as a Research Assistant at ELI Beamlines in Dolni Brezany, Czech Republic. I supported user experiments in the MAC user end station (Multipurpose end station for Atomic, Molecular and Optical Sciences and Coherent Diffractive Imaging). We use intense femtosecond laser pulses from HHG generation to study photoionization of different molecules in Ultra high vacuum. I have carried out pump-probe experiments, and used the Velocity Map Imaging technique to study the reaction pathways. The data analysis was carried out in Matlab.

I graduated from Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Kolkata, with the Integrated BS-MS degree in Physical Sciences from June 2019. I carried out my thesis in the Molecular Dynamics group, under the supervision of Prof. Dhananjay Nandi. I studied low energy electron-molecule collision process, and carried out my master thesis project titled, "Measurement ofabsolute dissociative electron attachment cross section of a chiral molecule", where I measured the DEA cross section of Propylene Oxide.

I was selected in the Visiting Students Research Program 2016 (VSRP 2016) at Tata Institute of Fundamental Sciences, Mumbai. Alongside attending lectures and talks by prominent professors of the institute, I also carried out a brief project in the department of Atomic and Molecular Physics, where I assisted in the measurement of double differential cross section of He on collision with proton beams.

Under the supervision of Prof. Maitrayee Saha Sarkar, work was done on the topic of detection and identification of the emitted particles from radioactive sources like 241Am, 152Eu, 109Cd, etc. Their emission spectrum was studied at various bias voltages. A small setup similar to the mini-orange spectrometer was set up, made in the workshop of SINP, in order to identify the internal conversion electrons. Steps were also taken to identify gamma particles and X-rays.
