Adam Shead (he/him) currently serves as Associate Producer for the Chicago Humanities Festival. Adam has spent over 10 years working as an events producer, arts administrator, tour manager, grant writer, and curator in Chicago. Previous to the Chicago Humanities Festival, he served as Music Programmer for Logan Square non-profit Comfort Station, where he programmed and produced concerts and experiential events. Prior to this, he served as Backline Technician for Studio Instrument Rentals. While maintaining an active administrative career, Adam has toured extensively throughout the United States as a musician and tour manager, with projects under his leadership receiving institutional support from such organizations as the National Endowment for the Arts, the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, and South Arts. Adam holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Columbia College Chicago and a Master of Music degree from The University of Michigan.
