Broad role that includes but is not limited to: • Providing independent privacy oversight and advice to Meta’s group of business on Meta’s compliance with data protection, privacy and security regulations, information technology policies, standards and processes. • Ability to pivot, embrace ambiguity and quickly adapt to ever changing business and regulatory requirements. • Supporting the Office of the Data Protection Officers’ (ODPO) governance function, through annual and quarterly board reports, and the management of the central DPO mailbox.• Support operational privacy teams with user rights, including Amicable resolution cases with regulators. In 2022 supported 300+ complex escalations and over 30 Amicable resolution cases. • Lead projects including focused reviews, governance activities and community building initiatives; including a Privacy Operations Documentation review and the DPO Brief. • Provide practical and actionable advice on the design and continuous improvement of policies, operational processes, risk assessments, controls, monitoring and governance.• Partner and align with cross functional teams, using privacy subject matter expertise to support and embed data ethics and privacy risk management throughout all functional programs.• Engaging with regulators to build working relationships and support responses to privacy inquires. • Analyze, evaluate and advise on the privacy impacts of existing and upstream legislative, regulatory, legal developments and industry proposals on Meta's services and companies, taking into account the impact on data subjects' rights relating to current and evolving privacy and data protection requirements.

(Responsibilities include those of the below role) • Support the DPO in managing and co-ordinating the team responsible for the creation and updating of Data Protection Impact Assessments and Data Protection Risk Register.• Foster a culture of data protection and privacy management within the business. • Manage any Data Protection communications both internally, and to our clients and any data subjects. • Participate and support the DPO in ensuring Privacy by design for all business evolutions. • Identify and manage risks related to data privacy and protection, and escalate risks and issues as needed.

• Manage Cision’s Privacy Team.• Help to shape Cision's Global Privacy and Data Protection policies and processes. • Manage and resolve queries and complaints from clients, influencers, vendors and Cision staff relating to data protection, GDPR and other regulations. • Manage and when necessary update the global opt out and unsubscribe process for Cision’s media databases; while looking for efficiencies and process improvements. • Manage and co-ordinate responses to Subject Access Requests and all other Data Subject Requests across Cision globally.• Create and provide data protection training to new starters and provide refresher sessions for teams. Ensuring as external regulations and internal processes change staff are updated. • Track data protection related figures for Cision’s Board. • Provide support for the Data Protection Officers tasks, including Data Protection Impact Assessments.• Build relationships with data partners internally and externally. • Create and maintain a data integration blue print for future acquisitions, mapping out the process, highlighting risk areas and reviewing for efficiencies.

• Operate Cision’s Privacy Team and act as a conduit directing internal and external enquiries relating to data, privacy and or GDPR to relevant departments. • Manage the global opt out and unsubscribe process for Cision’s media databases.• Ensure the global opt out and unsubscribe process remains GDPR compliant. • Problem solve any issues relating to the opt out and unsubscribe process and work across Cision owned companies and departments to improve the process. • Resolve all Data Subject Requests submitted to Cision globally. • Researching and verification of journalist data, and updating the database accordingly in line with Data Protection• Researching and verification of publications, updating database accordingly• Maintaining the accuracy of the database and your assigned countries through productive research• Data entry• Building relationships with editorial staff and verify information for allocated newspapers and publications through telephone contact and meetings

I was elected Vice President Welfare after running a successful campaign in the final year of my degree. It is my role to represent and support students on welfare, equal opportunity and community issues, and to lobby Queen Mary University of London when necessary. Within my role, I am responsible for the following:- Chairing the Welfare Zone Committee, reporting to Student Council on its activities and supporting its members- Governance of the Union in my role as a trustee and ensuring the charity was running effectively for students.- Setting up partnerships with local charities (i.e. Step Forward, Positive East, Mind)- Running a variety of campaigns (i.e. my Be Kind to your Mind ‘BKTYM’ campaign focusing on mental wellbeing, QMSU Pride etc)- Running events (i.e. QMInternational the Union’s biggest ever non-alcoholic event with over 1000 attendees)- Lobbying for additional funding (I secured an additional £35.0k for our DDS service to help their admin needs. I lobbied for additional funding for my ‘BKTYM’ campaign.)- Seeking feedback from members on welfare, equal opportunity and community issues and turning their feedback into effective change- Developing policy to improve the welfare and community experience for students- Lobbying the College to provide the optimal welfare experience for students- Widening participation in the community and in Union activities - Crisis management when decisions made by our elected body got wide press attention. (i.e dealing with the press, and minimising reputational damage) - Representing students to our local authority and lobbying for changes. (i.e securing canal lighting along Regents Canal)
