Generally, when I meet people, they want to know, "How did you go from the NFL to insurance?" It's a great question, and I think I can sum it up in a few key words: teamwork, connection, and authenticity. I had the incredible opportunity to play professional football with the Denver Broncos and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. When my playing career came to an end, I felt called to be a coach at the college level. I could relate to these players, not just our love of the game, but by using my own playing experiences as "real world" examples to connect with them and help them get where they wanted to go. When it was time for me to dive into a professional role, I discovered that the more I learned about the world of employee benefits and insurance technologies enabled me to bring my passion for serving others into a business setting outside of sports. Now, in my role at Marsh McLennan Agency, I get to apply everything that I've learned to help businesses care for their most valuable asset—their workforce team. Just as with coaching, every day I am able to connect with others, offer guidance or resources, and see positive impact. As an Employee Benefits Consultant, I fully believe in the power of the work we do at MMA.
