An accountant by education and an entrepreneur by calling, I am in the business of creating. I spent 8 years in progressive corporate accounting roles before moving on to independent small business consulting and various other projects. During my corporate accounting years, I found myself more and more on the technology and development side than on the debit and credits. System implementations, system development, process improvements, and in a lot of cases, the in-house IT guy is just some of the job description expansion I brought to the table.As a consultant, I bring the experience of merging technology and accounting to create an environment for success. I used to describe myself as an outside-of-the-box thinker, but now, with such a diverse experience, I have come to realize that creativity and the ability to adapt comes from inside of the box - once you build a sturdy and dynamic box, you can step outside of it and add, subtract, multiply and divide the box however you need. It is my ability to make a "big picture" plan combined with the skills needed to implement that makes me an indispensable resource to my clients and their ideas.
