As a promotions assistant with the Des Moines Radio Group I am responsible for a number of things. First and foremost I am a billboard for the company. In that regard I am responsible for interacting with, listening to, and responding pleasantly to the requests of, station clients, be they listeners, sponsors, or otherwise involved organizations.I maintain and operate various forms of sound, lighting, and promotional equipment. Some of this equipment is very technical and requires a high degree of attentiveness to operate.Along with the "public" tasks that I perform, there are also a number of office tasks that I complete. These include typing press releases and promotional recaps, creating posters and flyers, as well as some video filming and editing.

I worked at the warehouse in Chariton, IA selecting pieces of product and placing them on palletes to be shipped to stores in a timely and efficient manner.

After completing the appropriate training courses I was able to assume my role as a lifeguard at the CVFAC. The pool was open for the duration of the summer and I was there most days ensuring the safety of the patrons as well as performing the opening and closing duties along with my fellow guards.
