Revolution Parkour is a thriving sports academy that teaches the discipline of Parkour. When founded, it was the first Parkour academy in the Pacific Northwest and one of the first in the United States. The gym now has franchised locations around the greater Portland area.I started the company in 2008 as a bi-weekly class, renting space at a local gym. Within 2 years, I opened our own facility in Beaverton, Oregon. In addition to the home-base gym we also worked with local youths, non-profits, and private educational establishments to bring their students the positive physical and mental benefits from practicing the discipline of Parkour.In 2011, I sold the company to pursue other endeavors.• Brought true innovation to the world by designing and constructed one of the world’s first Parkour training facilities. Created a dynamic gym design that is still considered innovative 10+ years later.• Pioneered sport-specific teaching methods that promoted safety and cut learning times by 80%.• Mentored a diverse collection of students ranging in age from 6 to 70 (1,500+ students instructed). Diakonos was a Christian fraternity house at Oregon State University. I planned and managed annual budget, I managed financial expenditures and income, I paid company bills, and I monitored billing cycles and cash flow. I kept us under budget throughout the year, ending the year with an unprecedented surplus in funds.
