After 10 years in Food & Beverage, I've hung up my chef apron for the chance to impact lives in the Denver community. I was accepted into the Denver Teacher Residency in June of 2013 to become an elementary school teacher. During the 2013-2014 school year I worked with kindergarteners and first graders at Cole Arts & Science Academy in the Near Northeast area of Denver. I was extremely lucky to work at an amazing school with a staff that is 100% dedicated to the success of the students, and I have learned a tremendous amount during that time. I then worked at the Mathematics & Science Leadership Academy since then, and I've been beyond fortunate to become a part of the community where our joint goal is the improvement of the community via giving students the best possible education, but more importantly their mindset, attitude, and perseverance. I now teach at Summit Academy, a DPS Pathways Middle and High School in Southwest Denver. I've truly found the right fit for me there, as the mission, staff, and students are amazing!!
