Hello! I am a recent graduate of the University of South Florida College of Engineering, where I earned a B.S. in Computer Science with a 3.79 GPA. My time at USF was filled with lifechanging experiences and connections, but I’m eager to bring both my technical and non-technical skills and to the workforce, where I hope to benefit my future company and lift up those who I work with.My interest in computer science began in high school when a Microsoft-sponsored program introduced me to procedural programming. I was hooked! I have fond memories of staying up way too late perfecting projects and even taught myself Python after completing the course. This class helped me find my passion and what I wanted to do in my career: writing software to solve problems that people care about, and tinker with code to makes sure the solutions are practical, efficient and elegant (in that order).Throughout my degree, I’ve studied the low-level fundamentals of computing, from processor architecture and memory hierarchies to assembly language and operating systems. I’ve also delved into the data structures and algorithms that enable scalable solutions to complex problems. This strong foundation has supported me in making thoughtful, efficient design choices across many academic projects.I’ve worked with a variety of programming languages and frameworks, including Python (still my favorite!), Java, C, C++, C#, .NET, JavaScript, and React. Beyond technical skills, my most valuable academic experiences have come from collaborating with teams. For instance, during my senior year, I worked with a great group of my peers to develop an app helping disabled students navigate the USF Tampa campus. This project taught me the importance of effective communication, adaptability, and teamwork in overcoming challenges and achieving shared goals. I believe the experiences I've had in working with many project groups across many classes are just as if not more valuable than the technical experience I've garnered. After all, the work that one person can do alone pales in comparison to the good that can be accomplished by many people working together. I hope to bring these experiences and the lessons I've learned from them, along with my technical expertise, to the workplace to benefit the people I will work with. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and please feel free to connect with me here on LinkedIn.
