I am a partner at Foley Hoag LLP, where I focus on white collar criminal defense, FCPA and sanctions enforcement matters, financial fraud, and internal investigations.Before joining Foley Hoag, I was at two other national law firms. Prior to that, I served as a Deputy Chief of the Fraud Section of the U.S. Department of Justice’s Criminal Division. I also served in the Fraud Section as an Assistant Chief and as a Trial Attorney and Senior Trial Attorney. During my time there, I worked on a number of significant Foreign Corrupt Practices Act investigations involving companies operating in the commodities, oil services, logistics and defense industries, and on several complex securities fraud investigations of individuals and entities in the financial services industry. In addition, I worked on policy matters such as new criminal discovery initiatives within the Criminal Division and proposed amendments to the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines for securities fraud cases.I am admitted to practice in California, the Northern District of California, the District of Columbia, New York State, the Eastern District of New York and the Southern District of New York.
