As chair of governors I dedicate as much time as possible to assisting this amazing, award winning, life changing centre to continue to offer the best possible services to children and their families in the Corby area. Currently also a member of the following committees: Finance, Personnel and Resources; and Research, Training and Innovation.

As a senior architect within Government Digital Service I had lead responsibility for governance of the Identity Assurance Architecture and its continual development. The public facing product of this work GOV.UK Verify is now live with a number of central government services and private sector identity providers (https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/introducing-govuk-verify/introducing-govuk-verify). An original author of the underlying identity assurance architecture (https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/identity-assurance-hub-service-saml-20-profile) I chaired the Technical Design Authority comprised of other senior architects involved in the identity and security space from both GDS and NCSC (previously CESG). A large proportion of my time was dedicated to European programmes such as the STORK large-scale pilot and the eIDAS Regulation aimed at providing cross-border eID in the EU. As UK representative to STORK as well as work-package leader, and as an Expert consulting to the European Commission I worked closely with colleagues from other Member States to define the architecture, standards and governance models for this large-scale programme of work. I led the “eID as a service” work-package that looked beyond the STORK pilot stage, towards the Regulation itself, and to standardised implementation across MS. Latterly I was involved in supporting the Commission and its Expert Group in the resolution of implementing acts on both a technical and policy front.A key element of this role was engagement with senior civil servants, industry and consumers to ensure that requirements remained user focused but practical and secure. This also included supplier management and procurement responsibility.

A senior solution architect within DHID I had responsibility across multiple programmes including QIPP Digital Technology & Vision, Summary Care Record Programme, NHS HealthSpace, and Identity Assurance. As lead architect for Patient Identity Assurance within DHID and as the interim lead of the Cabinet Office Identity Assurance Programme until formation of the GDS team in January 2012. Working with other departments this role was a vital element in ensuring that the Identity Assurance programme defines an architecture that is applicable to Health applications as well as other government services i.e. truly cross-government architecture.Lead Architect for National Programmes: Provision of technical architecture services to the HealthSpace and Summary Care Record programmes including analysis, documentation and delivery of required architecture artefacts. This was aligned with overall technical architecture direction from the Technical Architecture directorate. I also provided direct contribution to NHS Information Strategy and ongoing evolution of the NHS Commissioning Board including provision of technical architecture services to Quality Improvement and Innovation Programmes across NHS/DH such as analysis, documentation and delivery of required architecture artefacts to progress and develop strategic initiatives.

As Chief Technical Architect at Reading Room I was responsible for the development of client web solutions including the scoping of requirements, development of solutions and provision of technical management across multiple projects. Working with creative, planning and technical experts I was instrumental in the process of developing new approaches to solutions for our key clients.Working with a range of corporate and public sector clients I have taken the lead in providing consultancy and driving forward successful design and implementation of web based business solutions for clients such as the Department of Trade & Industry, DSCF, Skoda, Speedy Hire, Ernst & Young, PwC, Transport for London and the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Providing a key business role at Amaze as Chief Technical Architect I was responsible for all pre-sales solutions and the architecture of all solutions developed by production teams. As a member of the technical management team I ensured Technical Design Authority, Mentoring, Review, Direction and support for Amaze projects and consultancy. Working predominantly with the sales team and as a leading technical consultant I was responsible for the authoring of responses to tenders, and proposal documents as well as building relationships with the customer base. As a technical design authority worked with clients such as Toyota Europe, Ernst & Young and PwC delivering solutions including Learning Management Systems, Content Management, Knowledge Management and complex web integration projects.

As Chief Technical Architect I designed and delivered new products for Coreview Group Limited and created software solutions for large organisations such as the DTI and BT Syntegra while also designing backend technology solutions for Coreview’s web clients e.g. the GB Group. My time at Coreview involved presenting products and solutions to senior Vice Presidents at BEA Systems, Sapient, Sun Microsystems and Broadvision with great success.
