After the craziness of the pandemic and lockdowns that followed, I made the decision to leave Apple and take time to focus on my personal development. In 2022 I moved to Barcelona where I completed a professional masters degree in Ux design. This was one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of my life. It allowed me to actively participate in an international community of like-minded professionals. The program itself was centered around business and business process creation. I feel that this experience gifted me the foundation for formalized approaches to improve business processes and develop tools and systems in my next role. After completing my degree, I took time to travel through Southeast Asia and Japan. This was a personal bucket list item. However, I feel that experiencing cultures that are so different made me a stranger and a better person. When I returned to Texas from my travels it became apparent that I should take time to help my family. My father, unfortunately, has an incurable form of cancer. I moved back into my parent's house temporarily to offer care and just to be there for him. Today, his situation has improved and he is stable for the time being. I am now back in Austin and working towards the next great chapter in my career.

After nine months in Inbound Sales, I was promoted to Account Manager for LegalZoom’s new Customer Experience Pilot team. This team was created to build and test a new approach to market and sell business services, with a focus on customer experience. I developed a process for managing a large volume of accounts, from lead to closed sale. This involved building email templates for client correspondence, managing appointments with leads, developing wire frame process maps, and coordinating with Marketing on new campaigns. In three months, our team of two grew to a team of eight. Our work resulted in increased AOV, higher revenue, more business partner opt-in, and an amazing customer experience. Because of our success, I am now using that experience on a sales pilot to develop a system for managing and closing leads from LegalZoom’s mobile site.
