Quality of work is the basis for completing a job correctly and efficiently, aspects I consider important. Over my career as a welder, fabricator, quality control technician, inspector, and currently as a consultant and auditor, I have developed a strong background in welding and fabrication which provides me an intimate knowledge of the processes and obstacles involved in many areas of manufacturing. In my time as a welder/fabricator, I have worked in a multitude of shops including job shops, structural steel and bridge fabrication, as well as pressure vessels and process piping. Acquiring many qualifications in various processes (GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, SMAW, Plasma Arc, etc) on a multitude of materials including steel, stainless steel, copper, aluminum and more.Moving into Quality Control and inspection roles, working for third party inspection companies as well as bridge fabrication plants, I used my skills and knowledge of welding and fabrication to earn my CWI and BCI, as well as various other inspection certifications. Applying that to developing and maintaining a broad understanding of the intricacies of codes, specifications and standards used in the structural steel industry. With each and every company, I've gained experience and new skills, such as Caterpillar and their Lean Manufacturing systems, to small family-owned shops that focus on problem solving and customer interaction and service. This depth of experience has taught me how to integrate, adapt and adjust to the needs of the manufacturing environment to best serve the company and the client.
