Establish and organize project teams, design SDLCs to fit with DevSecOps, create baseline architectures, and design software solutions. Essentially, I put the right train on the right track, with the right crew, and start it going in the right direction.Lead Engineer for the Curriculum Data System at Naval Education and Training Command (NETC). Responsible for software design, legacy systems integration, and system modernization for all Navy training curriculum.Lead Engineer for the Navy eCRM Salesforce platform, serving 20,000 users, over 400,000 Navy personnel, and millions of potential recruits. Architected the transformation of eight legacy systems into a modern platform, separated into 5 applications. Transformed over 12 years or Navy physical fitness data to fit in a modern SaaS platform, reduced errors in legacy data and improved historical models. Designed and executed three major data migrations containing millions of records, remapped the data, and reduced downtime below customer requirements.Reworked the CI/CD pipeline with Gitlab and Atlassian tools for traditional DoD software delivery processes to work with modern SaaS paradigms and DevSecOps processes. Designed a testing automation framework based on Behavior Driven Development that reduced regression testing from five days with four testers to six hours with no manual intervention. Created a DoD friendly Agile approach for SaaS and PaaS software deliveries, increasing releases from quarterly to monthly.Re-engineered legacy architectures from static servers to auto-scaled containers based on AWS Fargate, and orchestrated by EKS. Adapted large scale CloudFormation infrastructure code to Terraform to allow for cloud service provider portability.
