About Adam Lessuck

I’m an accomplished and results-driven professional applying my background in military service and education towards effective program management.Following several years in the U.S. Army and the Illinois Army National Guard, I worked as an analyst as well as a teacher and guidance counselor. A turning point in my career came with acquiring a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling and deciding to devote myself to providing support and expanding opportunities for the veteran community. In 2012, I joined the Posse Foundation in New York as a Veterans Program Trainer, and later moved to my current role as Director of Veterans Programs. My proudest achievements include re-orienting the organization towards veteran-focused services and resources and spearheading strong recruitment and outreach strategies. My job involves serving as a liaison between veterans and institutions of higher learning, as well as other resources like government programs, to provide greater access to education and career paths. I also worked for the New York City Fire Department for over three years as Borough Manager and Veterans Outreach Coordinator, helping to bring in numerous candidates of diverse backgrounds into the organization. I use strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills to optimize daily processes and long-term strategies and maintain strong partnerships with key players across city agencies and community organizations. If you would like to connect with me or know more about my career story, please send me an InMail message or email me at adamlessuck@gmail.com.Key Strengths Community Outreach & Recruitment Strategies | Mental Health Counseling | Crisis Intervention | Program Development | Project Management | Strategic Planning | Data Analysis | Teaching & Training | Nonprofit Operations | Program Development & Implementation | Curriculum Development | Staff Recruitment & Development | Lesson Planning | Presentations | Team Leadership | Cross-Functional Collaboration | Partnership Building | Public Speaking
