Established consistent processes, tools, & methods to oversee vendor quality, efficiency of releases, and schedule.

Management of multiple third-party IHV’s to deliver quality software drivers & applications for Intel motherboards and systems. Regularly engaged with vendors (including quarterly visits), to set direction as well as coordinating delivery, validation, and Microsoft WHQL certification. Defined quality standards for audio and modem software. Wrote PRD for K56flex softmodem. Built Communications equipment testing lab to support testing of the first production software modem. Led validation team to ensure timeliness and quality of deliverables. SW project manager for motherboard & systems projects ensuring timely delivery of bundled software for key product launches.

Third engineer to join start up company specializing in Activity Based Accounting software, which was later bought by SAS Institute. Designed & developed accounting and financial software sold to fortune 100 companies. Specialized in Windows and IBM OS2 platforms. Managed third-party integration of reporting software into the company’s product line. Led design effort of key components for future generation products.

Third engineer (1st non-Mac engineer) to join start up company specializing in modem technology. Designed, Developed, & Tested modem firmware and communications application software (including data, fax, and voice) bundled with modems for DOS and Windows platforms. Designed, developed, and tested the first modem based Voice Answering Machine with 99 mailboxes for DOS and Windows platforms.
