Following a daily tweet aimed at UK Government Ministers to request the release of the long-promised Youth Investment Fund, I convened a campaign group who together built 'YouthAsk'. 'Youth Ask' promoted a letter-writing campaign to the then Prime Minister Boris Johnson at Downing Street by young people, outlining why they need a youth worker.The campaign.

I was invited to become a Fellow of the RSA "in light of [my] exceptional contribution to the fields of community development and youth work".

International

I was an active and engaged Board Member for the Commonwealth Alliance of Youth Workers' Associations (CAYWA) whilst I was Chair of the Institute for Youth Work. This involved regular meetings (at all hours of the day/night), international conferences and relationship building with the Foreign & Commonwealth Office.

National

The IYW Council is the body that steers and governs the Institute for Youth Work, which is the professional association for Youth Workers in England.My work with the IYW involved supporting the team to organise and execute a range of services and events whilst keeping up to date with national developments in the youth sector.

Supporting a University Student in a mentoring role to meet learning objectives relating to their reflective practice throughout the BA (hons) Youth Work course.

Supporting young people to run a youth forum in their local community to enable community cohesion and positive change.Projects have involved film making, organising demonstrations, producing a 'Youth Manifesto' and co-ordinating events.Also social media lead and volunteer co-ordinator.

I strategically planned, developed and organised detached sessions targeting groups of need within Brighton & Hove. Much of this work took place on Friday and Saturday nights.

I worked with the '180 Mobile and Detached Team' where I honed my skills in building relationships quickly and effectively and using conversation as a vehicle for reflection and learning.
