Baker Institute Microscopy Platform

Dr Parslow was recruited to the Baker Institute in March 2020 and has lead the establishment of the new Imaging Platform focused on multiphoton and laser ablation microscopy. These technologies enhance the Baker Institute's ability to explore and develop innovative treatments for thrombotic and inflammatory diseases through optical microscopy.Dr Parslow assists researchers across all facets of optical imaging from providing education and training, assisted imaging through to the development of analysis pipelines.

Acrf Centre For Imaging The Tumour Environment

In recognition of his expertise in microscopy, Dr Parslow led the creation of the $2million Australian Cancer Research Foundation (ACRF) Centre for Imaging the Tumour Environment. This state-of-the-art imaging centre at the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Research Institute (ONJCRI) is designed to explore the relationship between tumour cell populations and the immediate normal tissue environment. Dr Parslow enabled the ONJCRI and La Trobe Institute of Molecular Science (LIMS) to extend its ground-breaking research programs exploring the interaction between an individuals' tumour and normal cell populations

Tumour Targeting Laboratory

The Tumour Targeting laboratory under the direction of Laboratory Head Prof Andrew Scott is focused on the targeting and molecular imaging of tumours through exploring receptor-based signaling pathways responsible for cancer cell growth. We pursue immunological approaches to enhance cell-killing mechanisms of recombinant antibodies, as well initiate clinical trials of novel antibodies, small molecules and imaging ligands.

The Vaccine and Immunisation Research Group (VIRGO) is a joint initiative between the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI) and the School of Population and Global Health at the University of Melbourne. My role is responsible for the storage, distribution, accountability and temperature monitoring of clinical trial material (CTM) from sponsor initiated vaccine clinical trials.
