I’m a Creative Director with twenty years experience, although I swear I only left university a few years ago. I’ve worked with clients from local businesses to global brands, overseeing branding and design led projects in award winning agencies. I focus on creating emotive work that moves people. I work closely with clients to understand them and their audiences, and then combine creativity, strategy and instinct to bring to life crafted and effective work that could live anywhere.I’ve acquired more than 50 assorted pieces of wood, metal and perspex. Those I’m most proud of are 8 D&AD wooden pencils (still chasing the more prestigious coloured varieties) and 5 Design Week category winners. I’m also fortunate enough to be invited to judge both national and international award schemes.However, winning awards isn’t my biggest focus. Making a difference to the brands I work for, and their audiences, is what matters to me most.I take my work very seriously. I don’t take myself very seriously at all.

Collected over 30 national and international industry awards for my work, including The Roses Awards Designer of the Year and Grand Prix Award in 2008, and In-Book 3 times in the D&AD Annual in 2009. Highlights include delivering pan-European in-store campaigns and toolkits for Nike, a repositioning of heritage nursery brand Silver Cross and working on the identity / collateral for the inaugural MIF in collaboration with Peter Saville. Other clients included: Absolut Vodka, BBC Children in Need, The Courteeners, Dr. Martens, Gola, Manchester International Festival, MCFC, Mercury Records, Nando’s, Tate, Umbro and V Festival.Another highlight was one of the best company Christmas trips away I’ve ever experienced – to Fleetwood, of all places. -
DesignerBrahm Jul 2003 - Jan 2005I worked in the design dept. of this 150 strong integrated agency. The highlight of my time here was working on the St George’s Crypt Annual Report 2004. It won the Grand Prix at The Roses Design Awards, Best Annual Report at the Design Week Awards, was awarded In-Book in the D&AD Annual, and was featured in the European Design Show at The Design Museum, London.
