Kubernetes/DevOps/Cloud Infrastructure: Recently, I was in charge of setting up a CI/CD system for Cloud applications using Jenkins X and Kubernetes on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). I also was in charge of creating and maintaining Docker development environments for various projects.Embedded Systems Development: I spent 11 years developing software for embedded systems in the Life Safety and Security industry. I helped to develop Fire Alarm systems and Nursecall systems.I have been using Linux for over 20 years. My experience includes Embedded Systems using ARM processors, servers running Ubuntu, Debian, and Red Hat Linux, and development using Linux on the Desktop. I began learning about Kubernetes in early 2021. I managed multiple Kubernetes clusters (production and development systems) for 1.5 years.Skills: Linux (Server and Embedded), Kubernetes (GKE and EKS), DevOps, Cloud Computing (GCP, AWS), CICD, Terraform, Docker, Embedded Systems, Bash shell scripting, CLI, Tekton pipelines, Jenkins X, PostgreSQL, InfrastructureI have permanent residency (永住権) in Japan. I plan on staying in the Evans/Augusta Georgia area for the foreseeable future but I might consider opportunities that involve travel to/living in Japan.
