Managed infrastructure and business systems at a West Australian headquartered international company manufacturing and servicing drilling fluids and downhole instrumentation for the mining and oil and gas industries.Achievements:- Implementation of an analytics platform providing reporting and business intelligence capabilities previously unavailable in the Imdex group. - Built a data warehouse, using the Kimball method (data marts, star schemas, dimensional model) for integration of disparate data sources and aggregation from transactional systems as a foundation for business intelligence and analytics efforts.- Architected and delivered a new leaner, more flexible and capable systems infrastructure, utilising a mixture of cloud (IaaS and SaaS) and on-premises technologies, resulting higher performance and available, with lower costs and allowing new business systems to be implemented- Achieved a zero down time benchmark in data centre operations, as well as never losing a single business critical transaction over a four year period - Designed and built a global telecommunications network, connecting all major centres of operation, with considerable performance and reliability improvements- Implemented Group ERP standard across every business globally- Designed and developed a new Quality Management/QHSE/Risk System, using Agilemethods, replacing a poorly performing incumbent system- Project managed new headquarters infrastructure fit-out and office move, a complexproject involving multiple contractors over three sites- Built a business case for a more comprehensive information management strategy andimplemented a document and records management system, streamlining key business workflows

In this role, I took what I learned in Asia and developed an IT strategy to support the business needs of the division during the growth period in the following 5 years. I designed and implemented IT standards for all DCS locations across the globe. I also executed an IT integration strategy for merger with another Schlumberger division, as well as a company acquired in 2006 (Odegaard). I also designed a division wide information management strategy, for proper custodianship and governance of oilfield client data, using Schlumberger and third party technologiesMy role also had me as a mentor and subject matter expert (SME) for IT staff in the DCS division globally.

In this roleI transformed and modernised the systems in Kuala Lumpur to improve the productivity of the division and reduce costs at the same time.
