My role is key in driving IS efficiencies through process automation and technology enhancements, through tier 1 solutions and service providers. The IS strategic plan addresses the business systems needs of Integrated Logistics, supporting the division's growth and objectives.Achievements against application specific strategic plans, policies, programs and schedules for business, as well as finance and operational data processing, application and management information services are aligned to accomplish corporate goals and objectives. Collaborate with the appropriate departments within the Grindrod vertical is key to assess and recommend technologies that support company organizational needs. My role was a senior manager position, based in London. This role is split into the following areas:1. Client Management / Liaison.Direct responsibility for the service engagement and delivery into various Blue Chip companies. Some of these clients are key Investment Banking Institutions such as BNP Paribas (£1,300.000 managed revenue), Credit Suisse First Boston (£1,720.000 managed revenue), Merrill Lynch (£1,080.000 managed revenue), Marsh Insurance (£260,000 managed revenue), Lehman’s (£48,000 managed revenue) and Royal Mail (£58,000 managed revenue). Management and review of service using client reporting tools, staff competence monitoring and site awareness. Forecasting and pipeline, maintained through close relationships with Service Delivery Managers, Account Managers and relationships with permanent and contract staff on site. Implementation of a Resource contract with F&C Asset Management, services which gained me an Excellence in Action award.2. Operational Management.Responsibility for divisional KPI’s. Provided operational reporting to Executive Management on: Availability, Utilisation, Income Efficiency, SWOT analysis and trends. Responsible for building relationships with both internal and external clients to ensure that the appropriate service levels are being received. Responsible for collating forecasts and pipeline information, from those clients, to enable effective utilisation management of permanent staff.A major achievement came after 6 months when I was the only member of my management peers to be included in the Operational Succession Plan, and after 1 year when I was awarded with an Excellence in Action award for work completed on the FCAM account.3. Team Management.Responsible for the entire day-to-day Management, mostly remote, of 25+ engineers operating at levels from 1st line to consultancy. My role involved recruitment, performance reviews, development, coaching, hearings, inductions, authorisation of expenses and overtime.

Hardware and the business through the Ariba purchasing system, and input into the associated development of that system.• Being a focal point to other members of the team, in resolving IT/User related issues and problems.
