Aspiring to the role of visionary, I'm fascinated by the interconnectedness of all things and people, and seek to discover elegance in how the pieces fit together. As a full-stack developer and DevOps engineer, in an agile environment, this has become an ability to act as product owner and see the technical specifications through the OSI layers, the stack within the application layer, and the non-functional aspects; as well as managing team member scope focus.I've been called a polymath, as I have a broad range of interdisciplinary education and experience. I've studied physics, accounting, music, pedagogy, IT, and computer science / software; totaling more than 300 college credits. Likewise, I have been a manager, audio engineer, accountant, math teacher, IT, software developer and DevOps engineer. Coming from a family of very little means, I put myself through college, and the jobs I worked to pay my way include a fishing boat in Alaska, arborist, guitar teacher, drywaller, construction worker, wedding DJ, and food server. Drawing from all of these experiences, I have taken on projects that would usually require additional team members and outsourcing, and succeeded with a very limited budget.In my quest to become a well-rounded individual, with emotional intelligence and empathic connections to the people in my life, my communication abilities have also been shaped by my participation in the arts, including theater, stand-up comedy, and even as the lead singer of a rock band. Though, having experimented with various forms of self-expression, my favorite will always be music & dance.
