Hello LinkedIn community! 👋 I am officially a Graduate Student 👩🎓 as of Spring 2024. Graduating Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Tourism Development Management (Meeting and Events) and pursuing a Master's in Community Resources Development (Tourism). Currently, I am performing my summer internship with the Reliance Management team at the Arizona Center. Here I will focus on not only events but community engagement and city development. After the summer I will return to ASU and finish my Master's. My passion for events stems from over three years of hands-on experience, where I've contributed to the success of a wide range of gatherings, including weddings, private parties, football sporting events, and concerts. One of my proudest achievements was spearheading the planning of ASU's annual Homecoming event for the Downtown Campus this past Fall 2023 semester. Not only did we break attendance records, positive growth, and student engagement in a previously unused location, but we've also established a new ASU venue and tradition for the Downtown campus! What sets me apart is my eagerness to explore the industry beyond my home state of Arizona. I am actively seeking an internship out of state to gain fresh perspectives, understand regional nuances, and broaden my skill set. I believe that exposure to diverse environments will enhance my understanding of event operations and contribute to my growth as a professional.Outside of event planning, you'll find me exploring new destinations, absorbing city layouts, and capturing stunning sunset/sunrise photos. Volleyball is another passion of mine, offering a balance between strategic thinking and teamwork – skills I bring to my professional life as well.I pride myself on being a positive and proactive individual, always ready to tackle new challenges. My goal is not just to manage events, but to understand the intricate intersections of each aspect, contributing to the overall success of any project. With strong management skills, an unwavering commitment to learning, and the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, I am ready to take on the dynamic world of event operations. My career goal after I graduate is to become an Events Manager (preferably in a sporting stadium) or City Planner. If you know of any exciting opportunities that would help me achieve my aspirations or would like to connect, I'd love to hear from you!
