Bringing together art, technology and science, S+T+ARTS4WaterII – Ports in Transformation is dedicated to tackling the complex environmental and societal challenges present in Europe’s ports and ecosystems.I am honoured to work for VITO NV in Belgium, together with 9 European oustanding cultural organisations (WAAG, GLUON,TBA21, PINA, CAMARGO FOUNDATION, OGR FOUNDATION, ADAPT CENTRE, DRUGO MORE, and KLIMA BIENNALE VIENNA) to facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration, collective critical thinking, research, experimentation, and co-design led by artists through collaborative art residencies, international educational workshops, exhibitions, conferences, and networking activities that bring together artists, researchers, stakeholders, and ICT experts. These collaborations focus on addressing specific local or regional water challenges and envisioning future water management through creative, critical artistic works, novel digital solutions and public engagement.

Throught this pioneering initiative promoting Sub-Saharan Africa innovation at the nexus of Science + Technology + Arts, we support artists to address regional challenges around Food and Water, Digital Mapping and Speculative Landscapes, Culture and Coding, Wearable Technology and Smart Textile, Immersive Storytelling, Rethinking Sustainable Construction, and Speculative Urbanism.With GLUON, we coordinate the residencies programme, and accompany in particular 3 residencies in Senegal, together with Afrikaada, Kenu Lab and Ker Thiossane.

With S+T+ARTS in the City, we aim at enhancing art-driven innovation at local level and human-centered technologies, such as artificial intelligence, robotics, new digital media, smart cities, high performance computing, data science, or biotechnologies, that will be able to put in the market products and services that have a positive ecological, societal, and ethical impact. By combining arts and creativity with science and tech for good, S+T+ARTS in the City will contribute to the emergence of ecologically conscious technology uses that answer the current challenges that regions are facing, in sectors such as green manufacturing, sustainable urban development, security, recyclable textiles, digital literacy, and more.

RiT is an international community that aims at both exploring and supporting alternative Extended Reality (XR) productions, and experiment new narratives and creative processes.RiT aims at building a strong, independent European XR creative and activist community, a think tank to tackle current and future challenges in the digital sector.

Through the platform, I share my experience with students, and talk with them about their careers options and aspirations, on project management, EU-funded projects, communication. Like a lot this experience!

My mains attributions are:- General coordination of STARTS ECOSYSTEM project, aiming at fostering co-creation between Science + Technology + ARTS. CSA 30-month project of EUR 2M - 6 European partners - funded by DG CONNECT- Content creation and copy-writing for the starts.eu platform and promotional supports (leaflet, videos, interviews, portraits, articles)- Design and implementation of network and community strategies of the STARTS initiative- Community management for website and social media, Public Relations- Monitoring Residencies, supporting co-creation processes and mentoring promising teams- Idealisation of projects, concept notes, in an innovative and sustainable manner- Redaction and submission of Proposals under H2020 Programme (mainly CSAs)- Structuring of communication and dissemination plans and strategies: websites, social media, eventsand synergies with other initiatives- Contacts with EC representatives: project officers in DGs- Execution of activities in Portugal and abroad (organisation of tailored-made events, workshops,conferences, focus groups, networking events, interviews and other fieldwork activities)- Coordination of Partnerships: meetings with partners across Europe- Representation of INOVA+ at national and international events- Technical reporting: conclusions and recommendations

Started from zero in 2011, I was in charge of the coordination of 05 persons and management of the financial and administrative execution of more than 50 financial grants, going from a few thousands reais to several millions.I worked with national (FAPERJ, CAPES, CNPq, IPEA) and International (DFID, IDRC, Norway Embassy, OXFAM, Hewlett Foundation, etc.) financing.My main attributions in the Institute of International Relations were to:- elaborate / imagine, next to the Researcher, a proposal for a research / event project;- build the proposal in terms of budget, logical framework, communication strategy, calendar, overall and specific objectives, activities, expected results, etc;- manage the financial and administrative process of execution of the project, in order to respect the budget and the calendar;- maintain the contact with the financing Institutions;- coordinate the financial and technical reports;- present to the Director of the IRI the evaluation of the results of the project.

In charge of coordinating the activities of 04 programs developed in Cambodia, Laos and China.Main attributions:- Administrative and Logistic coordination of the activities of the 04 programs in Asia, leaded by French Lawyers (training of Cambodian Lawyers, Defense of the Right to a fair Trial, Strengthening of Legal Offices all over the countries);- Daily communication and work synergies with the local Cambodian office of Avocats Sans Frontières;- Assistance to strategic thinking for development of programmes;- Institutional contacts with financing Institutions in France and Asia;- Networking with relevant stakeholders of the field;- Fund Raising

In charge of consolidating and developing the actions of a wide French Network of NGOs fighting against Human Trafficking.Main attributions:- Organize meetings gathering all the NGOs members of the Network (more than 20);- Assistance to development strategy of the network´s enlargement and sustainability;- Report of the meetings and spreading to all members;- Research on Human Trafficking, organised crime, legal measures to fight against Human Trafficking, at national, european and International levels;- Logistical organisation, and participation of the first big action of the network (June 2007) at the European Parliament;- Coordination of the creation of the visual identity of the Network;- Participation in meetings about the theme and networking with relevant stakeholders.
