I am a perfect fit for development and even more of a fit for strategic planning, relationship building, and aggressively seeking new donors. My experience in non-profit development spans 15 years and I have over 15 years in for profit marketing.I am most successful when I have an aggressive challenge that needs a creative solution. Last position, I used my professional experience in fundraising, events and major gifts along with public relations and marketing at the National MS Society in Vermont as Director of Development representing the National MS Society throughout Vermont. 1 in 400 Vermonters have MS and today there is no cure. When I first came to the Morgan Autism Center which is a school of children and adults diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders, they had never had a Development Director. The school only had a few donors, limited community awareness, and a database of 300 people. That first year was exciting and interesting. Within 3 months, we hosted the first autism conference in the Bay area, cultivated 3 major donors and by the end of the year there was a significant increase of giving by 200%, created a database of 2,000 names and addresses and placed Morgan Autism Center on the map in the community. The school and adult programs are still strategically small but the .Morgan Autism Center is now recognized as one of the best schools for autism in the state of California. .Non profit experience includes National Kidney Foundation of N.
