Responsible for the strategic development of employability services and the co-ordination of effective and efficient delivery of North Lanarkshire's Working activities within Education, Skills and Youth Employment at North Lanarkshire Council. Management of the Employer Engagement Team within Employability Services. Responsible for the design and management of Prospects for Youth, a newly designed Employer Engagement Strategy to encourage employers to employ young, unemployed people. Management of the Work Programme contract for North Lanarkshire Council with Working Links. Representative for Employability Services for Welfare Reform agenda.

Motherwell

I managed the newly developed European Funded Partnership, North Lanarkshire's Working. This involved monitoring performance and budgets across a multi-agency partnership, including internal and external partners.

Coatbridge

Promoted to Co-ordinator, I managed a small team of Officers and a large external partnership to deliver a £3 million project to support lone parents into employment. I developed the project, designed the interventions to support the client group, and wrote the bid to secure the funding from the Scottish Government. We developed a well-known brand in North Lanarkshire through targeted campaigns, presentations to stakeholders and client engagement to create awareness. The project completed on budget and on target. The project was shortlisted for a Local Government Chronicle Award for Community Involvement and won a Corporate Award for Promoting Social Inclusion.

Cumbernauld

I joined the Business Services Team and at the time was the youngest EDO to join the Service. I was responsible for working with local businesses to promote the services of the team, mainly our grants and loans.

Responsible for the marketing activities of the organisation and also provided marketing expertise to SMEs in the area. Provided business start-up advice to those wanting to set up in business.
