• It was an honour to fill the first communications role at Government House and to help build its marketing and media strategies from the ground up. Over five years, I served three Governors of Western Australia.
• Creating the establishment’s first communications strategy.
• Maintaining and evaluating the strategy, and creating related external communications action plans.
• Overseeing all communications material in support of the vice regal program and office.
• Writing speeches, official messages and briefing material for the incumbent Governor.
• Managing the website, including copy and content writing, video and image uploads, SEO, and assisting in the build and launch of two new websites for the establishment.

• Working in a dynamic and high performing team, I delivered communications about the State's new paediatric hospital to Western Australian families, health service staff and stakeholders.In this role I gained valuable.
• Write and edit copy and content for community campaigns (including posters and brochures), Perth Children's Hospital Project website and WA Health website and social media platforms.
• Distill technical (medical and construction related), jargon-heavy information into easy to read stories for the public and media.
• Apply the hospital's new corporate visual identity across digital, print and online materials.
• Develop the Perth Children’s Hospital website and social media channels.
• Draft media statements and manage journalists at on-site (PMH and PCH) ministerial and proactive media events.

Princess Margaret Hospital For Children, Perth

• In a highly sensitive environment I protected the privacy of staff, patients and families facing media attention while spotlighting the positive stories, work and research excellence of the health service. Day-to-day I.
• Write stories for the PMH website, intranet and internal communications channels including Kite Tales magazine, Telethon weekend promotional displays, newsletters and posters.
• As Publications Editor, manage the development of plain English, consumer friendly publications including health fact sheets and hospital and health service information booklets and resources.

I performed a mixture of general media, investor and public relations duties. Gained valuable experience in media relations, website management and professional writing and editing. Achievements included the event management of a large retail-investor mining conference on the Gold Coast and creation of the company’s social media channels.
