I am an environmental analyst on the City’s Climate Team. I focus on updating our community carbon inventory, providing data and metrics support to our team and the Municipal Sustainability team, and supporting the update of our Climate Action Plan through co-leading the Performance Measurement team and Resilience Working Group. I also provide writing and editing support to our team.

I work closely with the Municipal Sustainability Coordinator to develop and carry out internal sustainability programming. Outcomes of my work include:-Management of Municipal Sustainability Innovation Fund, a $100,000 fund that supported small-scale sustainability projects led by employees.-Creation and management of Our Workplace Without Waste, an employee engagement program focused on reducing waste from purchasing, use, and disposal.-Management of One Planet, an employee engagement program that gave staff the opportunity to go on tours and learn about City operations and projects.-Support of the interdepartmental Sustainability Team through writing Sustainability Stories newsletter, scheduling webinars, and supporting team meetings.-Completion of the 2018 Municipal Carbon Inventory and new User Guide.-Support of the 2018 Carbon Forecast and Contribution Analysis.

I managed the One Planet program, an employee engagement program showcasing sustainability and innovation at the organization. Throughout the position, I coordinated volunteers, managed participants, scheduled the logistics of tours and other events, and maintained our website and databases. I gained organizational, communication, and systems thinking skills.

I began this position by researching and writing grants for TWP's tribal programs. As I became more familiar with the organization, I also coordinated events, traveled to Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, and spoke on TWP's behalf at the Earth USA 2017 conference.

As a Pulliam Scholar, I got the chance to lead field trips for fourth grade students at a local natural area and to help mentor high school students working on their own environmental science research projects. Part of the program was to take graduate level courses on environmental education, which granted me insight into the history and best practices of that field.
